How to edit PDF files with Mac PDF Editor freeware

"Can anyone recommend a simple pdf editor for the mac os-x? I don't need anything fancy (and expensive) like acrobat. All I want to be able to do is enter text into a pdf - to fill out a form for instance- and to add comments as a text box. I know preview will allow you to circle items and add the little "sticky note" but this hasn't worked out for me. I really need to be able to type a comment in a text box and have an arrow pointing to the circled item that needs correcting. Have found some useful programs but nothing that works on the mac."

Here, I want to share a free Mac PDF editor named Skim for you. It is a PDF reader and note-taker for OS X which designed to help you not only read and annotate scientific papers in PDF, but also good for viewing any PDF file.

Besides viewing PDF files, you can add and edit notes, highlight important text, make snapshots for easy reference, preview the document's internal links, use bookmarks, export notes as text, give presentations (and use its built-in transitions facility), read the document full screen, etc. With Skim, you can quickly sort through and edit your PDFs in a pinch.
